Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-09-25
This policy explains what information BytePair LLC ("we", "us") collects when you play Printraband(the "Game") or visit printraband.com and wiki.printraband.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email privacy@printraband.com.
Summary
- You can play without creating an account. If you sign in, we store your game progress so it can be restored.
- We never ask for your name, email, or phone number inside the Game, and we don't sell your personal information.
- The Game shows ads. Ad partners may use your device's advertising ID, but only in line with the permissions you give on your device.
- You can delete your account and game data at any time from Settings → Cloud Save, or by requesting deletion.
Information we collect
Game and account data
- Player identifiers: a random player ID created by the Game, and an identifier for the device the Game is installed on.
- Sign-in details (optional): if you link Apple, Google Play Games, or Facebook, we receive an account identifier from that provider so we can recognise you. We don't ask for your contacts or friends list, and we don't post anything on your behalf.
- Game progress: your save data such as venues, upgrades, currencies, items, Tech, settings, and tutorial progress.
- Purchase records: when you buy something, Apple or Google processes the payment. We receive a receipt or transaction ID and the item purchased so we can deliver it and prevent fraud. We never see your card details.
- Technical data: app version, device model, operating system, language/locale, time zone, IP address, and basic diagnostic and error logs.
Gameplay analytics
We record how the Game is used (for example, sessions, levels reached, and which features are used) so we can balance and improve it. This data is linked to your player ID, not your name.
Advertising data
The Game shows ads, including optional rewarded ads you choose to watch. Our advertising partners may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), IP address, device information, and ad interaction data to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure performance, and prevent fraud.
- iOS: we only access the IDFA if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device's Google/Privacy settings.
- EEA, UK, and Switzerland: we ask for your consent before ads are personalised. You can change your choice from the Game's settings.
If you opt out of personalised ads, you'll still see ads, but they'll be less relevant to you.
Support requests
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you.
Websites
printraband.com and the wiki don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (like IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To run the Game, save and restore your progress, and keep you signed in on one active device.
- To deliver purchases and restore them when you reinstall.
- To show ads, including rewarded ads.
- To understand how the Game is played, fix bugs, and balance the game.
- To detect cheating, fraud, and abuse.
- To reply to support requests and meet our legal obligations.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (to provide the Game and purchases you ask for), legitimate interests (analytics, security, and anti-cheat), consent(personalised advertising), and legal obligation (for example, keeping transaction records).
Who we share information with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who host our servers and help us run the Game, under contracts that limit how they can use it.
- Platform and SDK providers built into the Game:
| Provider | Privacy policy |
|---|---|
| Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store purchases) | Link |
| Google (Google Play Games sign-in, Google Play purchases) | Link |
| Meta (Facebook Login) | Link |
| Unity Technologies (game engine, Unity Analytics, Unity In-App Purchasing) | Link |
- Advertising partners. The Game may use one or more of these networks, directly or through ad mediation, and the mix may change:
| Ad partner | Privacy policy |
|---|---|
| Google AdMob | Link |
| AppLovin (AppLovin MAX) | Link |
| Unity Ads / Unity LevelPlay | Link |
| Meta Audience Network | Link |
- Legal reasons: if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of players, the public, or us.
- Business transfers: if Printraband or BytePair LLC is sold or merged, player data may be transferred to the new owner under this policy.
Some of these providers are located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers are protected by safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep information
- Account and game data: until you delete your account, or after 24 months with no activity.
- Purchase records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually up to 7 years), even after your account is deleted.
- Server and diagnostic logs: up to 90 days.
- Support emails: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the Game, go to Settings → Cloud Save → Delete account, or see Delete your account.
- Advertising: use the device settings and in-game options described above.
- Access, correction, portability, objection, or restriction: email us and we'll respond within 30 days (45 days for California requests).
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA, UK, California, and other US states), you may have rights to know what we hold about you, get a copy, correct or delete it, and opt out of targeted advertising or the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information as those laws define it. We don't discriminate against you for using these rights. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. To verify a request, we may ask for your player ID or proof that you control the account.
Children
The Game is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and server-side validation to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. For significant changes we'll also let you know in the Game.
